Custodian

International students are required to have a custodian (previously referred to as “guardian”) living in Ontario. Many students have custodians in Toronto or Hamilton. Custodians can help students with banking and paperwork, represent the parents at parent-teacher interviews and provide communication between the school and non-English speaking parents, if the Custodian is fluent in the parents lanquage. Custodians offer a comfortable home stay during holidays.
