What’s a typical day at GLCHS like? Residential students can start their day off right with a healthy breakfast in the cafeteria between 7:00 and 7:30. Classes begin at 8:00 and we find out who’s a morning person and who’s not! Each class is 80 minutes long, with enough time to get a start on homework before the bell rings if you’re lucky.

Bible classes meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Students and staff meet for chapel on Tuesday and Thursday with an opportunity for worship and encouragement, a few laughs and a few announcements.

Students and staff eat lunch together in the cafeteria from 11:35 to 12:20. Day students can purchase lunch or bring a lunch from home.

The school day ends at 3:10. Students with on-campus jobs usually report for work at this time. Teachers are available for extra help. Sports practices and clubs meet at 4:00.

Supper is served in the cafeteria at 5:30, followed by open gym for interested students. Shoot some baskets with your friends or sharpen your badminton backhand. Club activities may also meet in the evening.

Got homework piling up? Study hall runs in the dorms from 7:45 to 8:45 pm. At the same time, tutoring is available from an assigned teacher.

After study hall, meet a friend in the student lounge, watch a hockey game on TV or order a pizza from Neighbourhood Pizza. Curfew is at 9:45 on week nights.
